Question:
In reading the instructions for the air deflector it says to remove the tape before installing. I thought these were tapeless deflectors. Arent they supposed to fit into the channel without taping? Or are these instructions generic for both kinds?

I have confirmed with my contacts at Putco and these visors, as well as all of their in-channel style of window visors, use both tape and the channel grove to hold them in place. The tape adheres to the gasket portion of the channel.
These instructions are specific to the parts visors that are confirmed as a fit for your Ford F-150 Super Cab. Putco only has the window visors that use a tape system for installation.
