Will Yakima Load Stops Fit Thule WingBar Evo T-Slots

Question:

There seems to be a compatibility problem with the Thule WingBar EVO e.g., 711220. According to Thule customer service, “ Unfortunately, the Thule Aero Load Stops are not compatible with Thule WingBar Evo because the metal in the crossbar is thicker than that of the prior Thule AeroBlade system.” Is this why the Rhino Rack load stops e.g., RRRLH2? I bought last season didn’t fit into the Evo racks? More important - will the recommended Yakima part slide onto the EVO rack? It seems that reviews/recommendation might sometimes be inaccurate owing the the confusing names Thule uses for their product lines.

The Thule WingBar Evo crossbars to have a thicker top for the T-Slot which is why the Rhino-Rack Load Stops # RRRLH2 won't fit properly. We recently became aware of this and are working to update those answer pages.

The Yakima Load Stops # Y01161 are designed to fit through the thicker cap of the Yakima HD Bars though so they will fit great with the Thule crossbars.
