Troubleshooting Hopkins Smart Hitch Camera Not Working on 2009 Ford F-150
Question:
I have a 2009 ford f-150, just installed the hopkins camera as instructed using the OEM splicer and I get nothing on the monitor. My back up lights are working, I plugged my trailers flat 4 plug in and have lights. Since its brand new, could it be a bad monitor or something else that Im overlooking?

The Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002 you've installed on your 2009 Ford F-150 can be a little finicky so you'll want to recheck your wiring connectors and make sure that the red wire has power on it when you put your truck in reverse.
If this doesn't work or you don't have power to the reverse pin please let me know and I can help you look into this further!
