Electric Trailer Jack Recommendation for a 2015 Forest River Rockwood Freedom 2280
Question:
Hello, We have a 2015 Rockwood Freedom 2280 popup camper. Id like to add an electric jack to it if possible. The top hole on the frame is 2-1/4 dia but the bottom hole is 2. Do they make a jack that is compatible without modifying the 2 bottom hole? Could you provide me with the model number if they do please? Thank you

On any trailer jack (let alone electric trailer jack) I've seen the outer tube is a consistent diameter. The only time the tube changes diameter is when you go from the outer tube to the inner tube, so it sounds like you'll need to cut open that lower opening just a little more.
For an electric trailer jack I recommend the etrailer # EJ-3520-BBX if you have a battery bank on your 2015 Rockwood Freedom you want to tie it into, or the Buyers Products # 3370093500 if you don't have a battery bank (or don't want to tie into it).
The etrailer has a single wire for power and it grounds by using the mounting hardware, while the Buyers Products has a 7-Way connector on it that you plug into the back of your tow vehicle.
I'm attaching some videos for the jacks for you to check out!
