E-Bike Rack that Is Compatible with 64 lb E-bike with Fat Tires
Question:
I have a Swagman XTC2 TILT Bike Rack for 2 Bikes, I bought it for a mountain bike which I no longer own. I now have a Lectric 2.0 step through E-Bike which weighs 64 pounds. The Swagman says no more than 35 pounds per bike 2x35=70 pounds. Is there an issue with me using this rack for only the E-bike at 64 pounds? I use ratcheting straps to hold the bike in. It has fat tires. I notice you sell fat tire trays, do they fit this rack, and can I purchase only two trays? Thank you.

The issue is that the wheel cradles on each side of the bike rack are only rated for 35 lbs so your bike that weighs 64 lbs would pretty easily cause them to fail. So what you would need is a bike rack with a higher capacity that is compatible with fat tires like the Hollywood Racks # HLY84FR which has an 80 lb per bike capacity and is compatible with 5 inch wide bike tires.
