Can a Weight Distribution Hitch Be Used with a Fold-Away Trailer Tongue
Question:
Can you attach a weight distributin to fold-away trailer tongue?

Expert Reply:
Since the fold-away function on a fold-away trailer tongue presents a weak spot, you will need to look to suspension enhancement for your 2013 Toyota Tacoma to improve your loaded ride height.
If you don't already have something installed on your Tacoma I recommend checking out the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-610-54 for a few reasons: you don't have to maintain these, they are more cost-effective than most enhancement options, and your unloaded ride quality won't be affected.
Attached is an installation video of this kit on a 2014 Tacoma for you to check out.
