How Low Will The HitchMate TruckStep Sit Below The Trailer Hitch Receiver
Question:
My truck sits low. 2x4. Will there be enough clearance to install this? I don’t see an issue with it hitting the spare but I’m concerned it’ll scrap the road backing out of driveways, dips in the road or speed bumps.

The HitchMate TruckStep Extendable, Hitch Mounted Step for 2" Hitches # HE4045 is going to be be approximately 6" in overall height so you can measure from the top of the trailer hitch receiver down 6" to see how low it will sit below the hitch and determine if that's enough clearance for your truck.
