How To Troubleshoot An RV Stereo System That Stops Playing Through One Zone

My Jensen AWM970 only plays,on one side of the speakers. Its about a 2011 vintage.

If your RV stereo is only playing to one set of speakers then you either don't have the zone turned on, have loose wiring, a bad set of speakers, or an internal issue with the stereo that's preventing it from sending power through the wiring.

The first thing I would check is that the zone for those speakers is turned on. From there I would check the wiring, as it could be just a loose connection at either the stereo or speaker or some corrosion to the wire at the connection points. I would also examine the speakers to ensure there isn't any damage to them that would prevent them from working.

To see if the stereo is the issue you can disconnect the wires from the non-working zone and swap them with the other zone's wires and if only one side is working still the stereo will need to be replaced. If that's the case then the Jensen # JWM60A would be a great replacement. Just like with every other stereo the wiring harnesses are different so I've attached the wiring diagrams below so that you can easily swap over each function.
