Tork-Lift & Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Compatibility 2023 Ford F-450 With Slide In Camper

Question:

we are getting an ArcticFox 990 4-Season, Truck Camper with 1 Slide-Out ~5,500lbs to put onto a 2023 Ford F450, Crew Cab, Long Bed... - also will be towing an enclosed cargo trailer maybe 2,000lbs ??? - and putting a receiver the front end to carry a couple of 3-bikes wanting to beef up the rear suspension on F450, and looking at the following, in the following order 1 adding TorkLift LOWER Stable Loads - believe that this is the most important modification to the rear suspension 2 adding Timberns of TorkLift UPPER Stable Loads - believe that this will also significantly improve the rear suspension can you confirm my belief about Timberns being as good or better than Upper Stable Loads even when paired with LOWER Stable Loads - leaning towards the Timberns, but want to make sure that I am not missing something finally - any other recommendations??

First you will need to select either the TorkLift StableLoad Lower # TLA7311S or TorkLift StableLoad Upper # TLA7200 depending on the type of leaf spring you have. The StableLoad Lower is designed to work on leaf springs where the overload spring is placed on the bottom. The StableLoad Upper are only for leaf spings where the overload spring is on top. These both won't be used together as they require different spring types.

The Timbren Springs # TI88ZV are great if your 2023 Ford F-450 is always going to have the weight of the slide on camper on the suspension. Otherwise if you plan on taking the slide in camper out and using the truck for other things you may want to consider the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs # F95FV as they will give you adjustability for different amounts of load.
