can I install the factory puck system on my 2016 ram 3500? 8 foot bed.

I have a solution for you but there is no way to add an aftermarket factory puck system to a 2016 Ram 3500. Instead you will want the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch item # BWGNRK1314-5W. This system mounts beneath your truck bed similar to the oem prep package. It will provide you with a square gooseneck ball receiver that can be used as a mounting point to attach the B&W Companion item # BWRVK3500. This set up will only work for the 8' bed model Ram 3500s.
To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long item # C56000. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
