Troubleshooting LED Lighting on Trailer Not Working Behind a 2006 Land Rover LR3
Question:
Hi there, Im hoping you can help, I have a 2006 landrover LR3 and just bought a 2023 off road trailer. Im having trouble trying to connect the two together. The trailer led lights are flickering and the vehicle doesnt go into tow mode. Ive tried the curt adapter, doesnt work and tried wiring in resistors to tail lights without success ! Is there anything you can suggest ? Truck had factory original trailer plug and trailer is a 2023 US model. Thank you

Unfortunately, it sounds like there may be an issue with either the wiring or the control module on your 2006 Land Rover LR3. As you have tried the 7-Way to 4-Way/5-Way Trailer Adapter for Vehicles with Lamp-Out Sensors Towing Trailers with LEDs # C35FR as well as adding resistors with both failures to operate the lights. It only stands to reason the vehicle has something going on with it that it is not recognizing you have a trailer connected.
