Question:
So I tried seeking an answer before I dont think I was clear in my question. I want to put a automatic transfer switch for my whole house generator backup system was something like this work as an automatic transfer switch that will automatically start the generator and isolate the circuit from the main service and shut off the generator when service is detected and re-establishing the circuit for the house?

The Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch part # 34270278 won't start or stop the generator, it simply stops the transfer of power to the main source when shore power is detected. The term automatic refers to the automated stop of power i.e. no manual switch, not ignition to the generator. The generator would need to be started and tuned off manually.
