Recommended Replacement For A ProTECHtor GS961LP-RV Gas Detector

Question:

Thinking of replacing the original ProTECHtor CO detector model GS961LP-RV-Low Power built in 2006. Is there a replacement that would fit into the original mounting hole and provide the same or better protection? Also, how often should CO detectors be replaced?

It requires a 3-9/16" long x 3-7/16" wide x 1" deep cutout hole and will alert you to both unsafe carbon monoxide and LP gas leaks inside your RV. This detector has a 7 year lifespan, which is pretty standard, and will alert you when it's time for replacement.
