Both are great options for your 2022 Dodge Durango but there are a few key differences between the Brake Buddy Select 3 # HM39524 and Classic 3 # HM39494. The biggest difference between the two is that the Select 3 has two braking modes; proportional braking and full braking. Proportional braking will activate the brake pedal in the tow vehicle in proportion to how you press on the brake pedal in the motorhome. The full braking mode has seven sensitivity levels to customize your braking power.
The Classic 3 only has a full braking mode with three sensitivity levels so you won't get quite as customizable of a setup. Both systems come with a remote that you'll plug into a 12v outlet in your motorhome to display when the brakes are being activated or in the event of a breakaway. The difference between these remotes is that the Select 3 will allow you to swap between braking modes and change the sensitivity level, unlike the Classic 3 which would require you to get out and physically change the settings on the unit in the towed vehicle.
If you're looking to keep costs down the Classic 3 will be fine, but if you'd prefer to be able to adjust the brake sensitivity or prefer proportional braking, like most supplemental braking systems offer, then I recommend going with the Select 3 # HM39524.
