Brake Controller Recommendation to Replace and Plug Into Draw-Tite Brake Controller Wiring
Question:
I have a drawtite electric brake controller. I need to replace it. I am would like to match up the plugs so I don’t have to re-wire. May I send you a picture to see if you have a controller with the same type of plug?

The Draw-Tite brake controllers have the same connection at the back as the Reese and Tekonsha brake controllers so no picture is necessary, but I definitely appreciate it!
To upgrade your brake controller I recommend something from the Redarc Tow-Pro family since these can be installed out of the way and use colors to let you know what's going on instead of codes:
- Liberty # RED24FR
- Elite # RED44FR
The Liberty is a proportional controller which is great for everyday towing while the Elite can switch from proportional to time-delayed (they call is user-controlled) and is better for cross-country and/or mountainous towing.
To connect either controller to your Draw-Tite connector you just need the Redarc adapter:
- Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter for Tekonsha Brake Controller Harness # 331-TPH-017
