Can Prodigy RF Brake Controller be Plugged into Tow Vehicle and Allow OEM Brake Controller to Work
Question:
I have a prodigy RF brake controller on my trailer. I am changing tow vehicle. New GM SUV has an integrated brake controller. Can I simply connect the 7 way to the new SUV? Eg not use the prodigy remote at all? Or do I need to rewrite the trailer and bypass the prodigy controller? Thanks .

The Prodigy RF part # TK94FR is designed to bypass brake controllers if it is plugged in. It would terminate your OEM brake controller output at the RF and then only allow the RF output to get to the trailer brakes. So yes, you would have to bypass the RF or totally remove it to use the OEM controller of your vehicle.
