What Causes An Atwood Protechtor To Beep And Flash A Yellow Light
Question:
We just bought a new horse trailer with the Proctechtor series 2001. Weve been plugged in all night. Today the detector started beeping amd has a yellow light. Whats the cause of this and how do I get it to stop?

If your gas detector is flashing a yellow light and beeping it either means you have a gas leak, that it has a low battery, or is at the end of its life cycle. Since the Atwood Protechtor is hardwired it would either be that you have a leak, your power source is below 12 volts, or that it's time to replace the detector.
If you don't smell gas and you've been plugged in all night the power source isn't the issue and it's just the detector warning you that it's time for replacement. While we don't currently carry the same exact detector we do offer the Atwood # AT36681, which is similar in size and would be an easily replacement option.
