Where Do the Red Power Wire and Ground Wire Go For the Single Zone Thermostat for Dometic RV A/C

Question:

I have a manual control now and I’m replacing it with this one, the one that is shown in the wiring diagram. I have everything hooked up, but the red wire, now does the solid red wire have to be hooked up to another constant power? And the ground wire have to be hooked up to an outside ground?

When wiring the Single Zone Thermostat for Dometic RV Air Conditioners # DMC79FR, the solid red wire goes from the positive terminal of your RV's power supply to the control box of your a/c. The positive power wire from the control box to the thermostat will be the red wire with a white stripe and the green and yellow wire for the ground needs to be grounded to a solid ground on the RV.
