Can 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of 7-Way Charge Deep Cycle Battery

Question:

Put a deep cycle battery in the tongue box to power a winch mounted on the trailer. Can I charge the deep cycle battery using the 12V on the 7-way at the junction box? Also, my break-a-way battery is also connected to the 12V at the junction box.

The 12 volt accessory circuit of your 7-way can put a maintenance charge on your deep cycle battery. Not enough to significantly charge it but it would keep a fully charged battery topped off. For a more significant charging option the Redarc BCDC part # RED96FR is more optimized for charging and would be your best option.
