Is B&W Companion a Good Replacement for the Demco Recon 5th wheel Hitch on a 2021 Chevy Silverado

Question:

I have a 2021 Chevy with Chevy puck system , I had to use the Ram ball to get “flush” with the bed of truck but I still get some rotation of the Demco Recon , What is the solution here ? BandW hitch?

If you've torqued the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045 to specs and it is rotating on you then it wouldn't be a bad idea to swap out to a 5th wheel hitch that installs using the puck system instead as it would attached to 4 points instead of 1 point. If you are installing it to specs please let me know and I can see if my contact at Demco has any pointers or things to double check on this.

It's really hard to beat the B&W Companion for 5th wheel towing so if you're upgrading to a system that uses the pucks on your 2021 Chevy Silverado then the 25K Companion # BWRVK3715 is what I recommend. While this hitch is a solid piece of equipment, my favorite part is the dual-action cam lever because it makes disconnecting from your 5th wheel hitch much easier when you're parked on uneven ground. Other hitches don't have this feature and we've heard reports that they had to maneuver around a bit when they got to their campsite because it was uneven.
