Recommended Gooseneck Hitch that Attaches to 5th Wheel Rails
Question:
I have a 2016 ram longhorn. I bought the truck you can see where it had rails bolted in the bed. What im looking for is a kit to install these rails back in with the attachment for the gooseneck. Id also like to be able to at a later day attach a 5th wheel to these same rails. I want to keep all this on top of the bed I dont want anything that mounts under the bed. Let me know if this is an option.

It sounds like your 2016 Ram 2500 already has a set of industry standard rails installed in the bed. You won't need to remove or modify them to haul a gooseneck trailer. You will just need the Curt Spyder Gooseneck Trailer Hitch item # 16085. This adapter will attach to your rails and give you a 2-5/16" gooseneck ball with a 25,000 lbs capacity.
If you don't want to remove your rails and install an underbed kit this is by far your best option in both convenience and cost.
I have linked a review video below so you can see how to get this part set up.
To make towing with a gooseneck or 5th wheel trailer easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector item # C56000. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your trailers easier and more convenient.
