Recommended Hitch and Bike Rack for 2020 Honda Odyssey
Question:
What would be the best hitch for a 2020 Honda odyssey? The hitch will be used for a platform bike rack. Question regarding bike racks. Are there any bike racks that can be adjusted from a one bike to a three bike rack? Most of the time it would be used to transport one bike but will need to transport three bikes occasionally. I noticed that the RockyMount MonoRail racks can go from a three to a two bike rack but wasn’t sure if there were any other options. This bike rack will eventually be used on an SUV once we trade in the minivan if that makes a difference. Thank you for your assistance.

For a hitch for your 2020 Honda Odyssey I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76170. This hitch has a concealed cross tube so it will have a clean look once installed on your van. This also means you will have more clearance, which is important since the van already sits pretty low.
For the bike rack, a 2-3 bike conversion is going to be as good as it gets. The RockyMounts MonoRail # RKY10004-10005 is a good option that already comes with the 3rd bike add-on. It has adjustable trays for optimal bike spacing and keyed-alike locks for security. The weight capacity for this rack is 45 lbs per bike.
If you need a higher capacity, you could also use the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # KU84FR along with the 1 Bike Add-On # KU57FR. This has a capacity of 60 lbs per bike and then a 40 lb capacity for the add-on. This includes a tamper-resistant flatlock cam and cable lock for theft prevention. It is also lighter than the MonoRail weighing 45 lbs with the add-on vs 63 lbs for the RockyMounts rack.
I have attached some review and installation videos below for your reference.
