It is always best to install any Weight Distribution Hitch # EQ37100ET on flat ground to ensure you have the trailer level and bars set to the correct amount of tension. This will help you to ensure it is set correctly and will not damage the hitch. Once you know the system is set correctly on flat ground it is recommended to remove the spring bars when transitioning from the street onto a steep driveway. This is necessary to ensure the bars or L-brackets do not become damage due to the transition angle.
