Can You Use Hitch Extender with Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack on Class B RV
Question:
We purchased a Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2inch Hitches - Frame Mount which should work well for our Aventon Aventure bikes but the rack sits too close to our RV Leisure Travel Unity given the location of the hitch, which is sort of recessed under the rear of the vehicle. The rack works well and we like it but we have to remove a bike pedal and loosen the handle bars to make the bikes fit without hitting the RV. Is there an extender part that we can use to safely extend the hitch a bit to make the rack sit a bit further away from the vehicle?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes part # HLY84FR should not be used with a hitch extender per Hollywood Racks. If you want to do so anyway, your best option would be the Yakima StraightShot Hitch Extension part # Y69VR as it has an anti-rattle bolt and offers a minimal extension at 7".
Unfortunately, your only other option would be a new rack which I have attached a list of below that will work on a motorhome.
