Does Ground Wire of 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter Have to be Ran
Question:
We noted that the white wire coming out of the 4-way flat was not connected see attached image. Is that ok? Does the white wire coming from the 7-way connector provide the ground? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
On 7-way adapters like the part # 30717 the separate ground wire is for the other separate circuit wires of the adapter. So basically you need to connect if if you plan to use a brake controller, the 12 volt circuit, or the reverse light circuit. The taillight circuits ground through ground circuit of the 4-way.
