Should a 3,500 Lb Trailer Axle Have a Slight Bend in It

Question:

Hi there. I have a 2019 Pioneer BH 250 double axle trailer. The axles have the exact same s/n 134168174 which are 3500 lbs axles. The front axle has an upward bow and the rear axle is straight. My question is are one or both axles possibly bent? Thank you in advance,

In regards to trailer axles, most have an arch in them which is by design and they will straighten out once loaded. This is done intentionally for load distribution. If the axles are damaged, you'll likely see other issues like irregular tire wear. If you don't have any signs I would honestly not worry about it. That said, I have attached some info below for replacement if that's needed.

In order to choose the correct replacement axle for a trailer you'll need to measure the hub face (center of hub face to center of hub face) and spring center (center of spring center to center of spring center). This will then give you the info needed to pick out the correct replacement axle for your trailer. I have also attached a video I did to help others with this same thing so be sure to give that a watch.

The Trailer Axle Beam part # e38GR for example is a 3,500 lb axle which measures measures 89" long at the hub face and 74" at the spring center though these can be moved. I have attached a full list of all our other axles you can choose from once you have the info above.
