According to Thule, the OutWay Platform-Style Bike Rack, # TH65JV, will fit the 2011 Mazda 6 sedan. It was also designed to work with most factory spoilers if your Mazda 6 has a spoiler. The platform-style bike rack certainly makes loading and unloading much easier, but it also makes for a heavy bike rack. This bike rack weighs 27.6 lbs and some customers have noted that it has dented their plastic bumpers.

For a lighter bike, I would recommend looking at the Thule OutWay Hanging Style Bike Rack, # TH45JV. This bike rack weighs half as much as the Raceway Platform bike rack and has many of the same features other than the bike mounting style.

If you plan on carrying any women's, children's or alternative frame bikes with the OutWay hanging style bike rack, I recommend picking up an adapter bar like part # TH982XT. Bikes with small or angled frames can be difficult to load on a bike rack and cause ground clearance issues. This adapter will allow you to hang the bikes easily and safely.
