Troubleshooting A Non-Working Front Jack On A Lippert Ground Control 3.0 System

Question:

My 2020 Jayco Eagle 5th wheel was brought out of storage and set up on our pad. It had no issues with levelness last year but this year when I tried to move the camper the leveling systems left front Jack would not raise. My phone app says I have to rehome the jacks but I can’t do it when I cannot raise the Jack. What can I do?

The legs of the Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System # LC358590 are designed to work even during an error so I'm willing to bet that there's an issue with the wiring running from that leg to the controller. I would first check all of the wiring for any breaks, kinks, or loose connections.

You'll also want to check to ensure that you system is receiving a full 12.75 volts otherwise it can act strangely. 99% of the troubleshooting I've done with this system has always come back to the power source being under the requirements and as soon as the power is back up where it needs to be the system goes back to properly functioning. An easy way to test this is to connect to shore power and see if it still acts out.

Once we know the wiring is good and the power is at least 12.75 volts you can then try extending all the jacks in error mode at least 6 inches and then hit retract all in order to rehome the jacks.
