Parts Needed To Raise Trailer With Torsion Axle U-Bolted To Frame
Question:
I have a LOADRITE 2,700 lb. Torsion Axle that I just put on my boat. Prior to that I had leaf springs and the wheels had clearance in the wheel fenders. Now the trailer sits closer to the wheels and there is no clearance in the fender. Is there some type of spacer or something to either lower the axle or slightly raise the wheel fender? I don’t have a lot of room to raise the fender probably only 1-1.5 inches because it will hit the boat.

As your axles are only held in place with U-bolts around the frame it appears you will only need to find longer U-bolts. If you can let me know the size of your frame I can see what we have, otherwise you will need to acquire the parts locally. This would allow you to place some additional material between the frame and the axle mounts to gain the clearance you are needing for the fenders.
