Question:

Hi. I recently purchased this stereo and when I went to install it there were two power wires. My old stereo only had one wire. Which one to I connect to it?

The iRV RV Stereo w/ DVD Player # IRV64FR has a yellow 12v power wire that's intended to provide power to the stereo to retain the memory so that your preset stations and clock are there when you turn the stereo on. The red ACC wire is to power the other stereo functions and is intended to be tied into an ignition switch so that the stereo only has power when the vehicle it's in is running to prevent unwanted drain on the battery. This is great for motorhomes but can cause some confusion for people with trailers.

If you have a trailer you'll just splice the yellow 12v power wire and red ACC 12v power wires together and connect them to the power wire you have in the trailer. I've attached the wiring diagram for this stereo below to help with swapping over the speaker wires from the old stereo.
