Tire Chain Recommendation for 2018 Subaru Forester
Question:
Have 18 Subaru Forester. Do the cable chains go on all 4 tires or just Front? Do they work in icy conditions? Can they be used in the X Mode?

The online owner's manual for your 2018 Subaru Forester says not to use tire chains on your vehicle due to clearance issues. Because of this the only chains I recommend using are the Konig K-Summit Tire Chains # th02230k45 because they secure your wheel via a lug nut and the chain is only on the tread of the tire - none of the chain goes behind the tire.
These chains work great in icy conditions and you will only install them on the front tires. The manual doesn't say anything about using chains with the X Mode turned on so there shouldn't be any issues with this.
