Dimensions of the Etrailer Cargo Bag # 988501 when Folded

Question:

Can this cargo bag be folded into a relatively small bundle when empty? Im looking for something weatherproof that can protect items such as luggage when removed from a car trunk. A cargo bag looks like the ideal solution if it will fold compactly to squeeze into relatively full trunk. I dont need a hitch mounted cargo carrier. Thanks!

I pulled one the etrailer.com Extra Large Cargo Bag for Hitch Mounted Cargo Carriers # 988501, from our warehouse. The original dimensions of this bag right out of the box are 11 inches long by 11 inches wide by 5 inches tall.

This bag it is very flexible and offers a wide range of configurations, depending on how limited your trunk space is. It can even be folded almost completely flat, measuring approximately 54 inches long by 11 inches wide by 2 inches tall at the ends with additional folds, and 1 inch tall in the center.

This bag is great for use on a cargo carrier, or in the bed of a pick up truck. However, please be advised that this is not rated for use as a rooftop cargo bag.
