Will The Air Lift Air Springs Affect Ride Quality When Unloaded On a 2017 Ford F-150?
Question:
Will these change the ride of the truck when there is no air in them?

Expert Reply:
The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs for your 2017 Ford F-150 will not have a noticeable change in ride quality when your truck is unloaded and they are filled to the minimum 5psi. The 5psi is required so the air springs will keep their shape and not pinch in the mounts causing damage to the springs. You will need the Kit # AL57268 if you have a rear wheel drive F-150 or the Kit # AL57385 if you have 4 wheel drive.
I recommend using the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL58WQ with these air springs. If you mostly drive without additional weight these have a smart manifold that will monitor the air pressure while you drive to ensure they stay within 3psi of your setting. All adjustments can be made from your smartphone so you will not have to check with a gauge or keep track of an additional remote.
