Curt Echo Brake Controller Working Randomly

Question:

I have the Curt C51180 controller that I use when pulling my camper with my 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad. I have an intermittent issue where the trailer brake does not activate when I step on the brake pedal. I have cleaned all the contacts on all connection points with electrical cleaner. I can step on the pedal and it works. Then at the next traffic light it may not. Then work again at the next stop. As I said, it is very random. When it does not work with the pedal, I am able to use the button on the phone to activate the brake. Any thoughts on this?

Thank you for your purchase directly from etrailer of the Curt Echo # C51180, and I do have thoughts on it working randomly. Often this can be resolved by resetting the unit, so try unplugging the Echo completely, then delete the app from your phone and reinstall it.
