What Does Computer Flash Mean in Reference to Brake Controller Install

What does flashed mean. Also is this connection in the same spot on a 2022 ram 1500? Cant locate it

So in the context of the answer page the 2019 Ram 1500 that was referenced does not need to go to a Ram dealer to have the computer of the truck reprogrammed to install the P2 part # 90885 with the part # 3024-P. This is the same for a 2022 Ram 1500 as well.
