How To Adapt Your 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connecter To A 5-Pole Flat Trailer Connector
Question:
I have a 4-flat plug on my car. My trailer has a 5-flat plug. Is there an adapter you sell that will convert the 4 flat vehicle side to a 5 flat trailer side? Thanks.

Yes, I recommend the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57187. This adapter will connect to the 4-pole connector you have on the rear of your vehicle and includes an extra wire to run to the reverse light circuit on your vehicle. The reverse light wire will come with a bullet-connector so that you can remove the adapter as needed.
I've attached a short video below where Dave will show you how to splice in the reverse light wire.
