Can You Use a Swing Away Adapter with Cargo Carrier on 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch
Question:
hi! i am interested to buy this saris swingaway hitch BUT i have a benz c300 2012 n it has a curt 1 1/4 tow hitch. can i use an adapter? also, it’s not for a bike but a dee zee tool box. do u think it will work?

I do have an option for you but I don't recommend using a swing-away adapter with a hitch expander as you would be reducing the trailer hitch's capacity by too much. I'm afraid we don't have any swing-away options for the smaller 1-1/4" trailer hitch but you can still haul your gear inside a cargo basket like the 19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18110 and if needed, enclose the contents inside a bag like the Curt Cargo Bag for Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier part # C18210.
