What is the Bike Tray Spacing of the Kuat Piston Pro X Bike Rack
Question:
Hello, can you tell me the spacing between the two bike trays for the Kuat Piston Pro Bike Rack? I have a Thule Rack and the spacing is 11, unfortunately the handlebars of one bike hit the seat on the other bike and you have to take the seat post out every time it is loaded up. If the spacing was 12 or 12.5inch I would be fine.

The distance between the center of one bike tray to the center of the other on the Kuat Piston Pro X Bike Rack # KU98VR is 10-1/2".
Not every bike rack list the distance between the bikes which can make it difficult to find a suitable bike rack if your bikes are making contact. However, I do have another option that may work for you depending on what style of bike that you have.
- Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # Y47VR
The Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # Y47VR is a wheel mount style similar to the Kuat Piston Pro and can hold 2 bikes weighing up to 70 lbs. per bike and tires up to 3.25" wide. But what sets this rack apart is the way that the bike trays are configured. This rack has stadium-style, tiered trays which raises one bike higher than the other to help minimize bike to bike contact. This tiered style should allow you to clear the seat on your other bike.
