Technically you can install the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ACM150CH but you will void your manufacturer warranty since ASA will only honor warranties if the units are installed on a camper or motorhome.

If you still want a warranty to cover the any manufacturer defects then I recommend going with the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - White # FR92PR (black # FR32PR). This unit comes with a start capacitor already installed and an optional heat strip # FR35SR can be installed if you were wanting to match up to the # AMC150CH. These units are also going to be slightly more efficient than the # ACM150CH, which will save you money on fuel for your generator and allow you to be out longer serving up food. This style has the controls up on the air distribution box so that you don't have to run a wire for a wall thermostat and take up precious space in the truck.

As for installation, you'll need to build a support for the rooftop unit and possibly thicken up the roof to a minimum of 3.5". We typically just build a frame out of wood and mount it to the roof frame when we install these in enclosed trailers. The kit should have pretty much everything you need besides the wiring and wing nuts you'll need to connect to the power so the only other thing you'll possibly need to pick up is some wire strippers # PT43ZR.

If you have any other questions please feel free to submit another question and it'll get sorted back to me.
