Will 3K SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer Work with 2.8K Pin Weight on Trailer for 2009 Ford F-250
Question:
part # SSA15 2009 Ford F250 XLT 6.4l Diesel 156inch WB 4x4. Looking to reduce sag when towing my fifth wheel RV. The pin weight on the fifth wheel is about 2800lbs. Would that pinweight overload these springs at the 3k lb load capasity? I havnt ever bottomed out the factory suspension on the truck when towing the rig, and I have hit some rough train tracks and bridge transitions. Just dont want to purchase something, then break it....

The SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit part # SSA15 which is a fit for your 2009 Ford F-250 will technically work for you as the weight capacity of 3,000 lbs is under the pin weight of your trailer. That said, when you factor in the hitch, other items in the truck bed, and the varying ping weight based on load you're going to exceed the capacity of the system more than likely. Therefore, I recommend a higher rated system such as the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2550 which are rated for up to 5,000 lbs and that leaves you with much more room for error. I also like air bags better than overload springs as they can be adjusted to your exact load for the best ride quality possible.
