Can More than One Transmission Cooler be Added to a 1993 Toyota Pickup Truck

Question:

HI I purchased this product and it is installed on my 1993 Toyota pickup 3.0 v6. I was wondering if this would be enough to cool down the transmission? When I towed recommended weight, transmission heat light came on before this was installed. If its not enough to cool sugnifficately, is it ok to install another transmission cooler about the same size without damages to transmission, if I even need it. Sorry if i made it seem complicated. Hope to hear back thank you. Also it is installed in front of the AC condenser, if I were to install the second one it would be in front of the radiator because theres no more room on ac condenser. Thanks

Transmission cooler # D13502 will lower the transmission fluid temperature on your 1993 Toyota but whether or not it lowers it enough to keep the light off depends on a lot of things. Primarily it depends on the location of the cooler. If it is in front of everything, the radiator, AC condenser, and behind the grille where it can get the most air flow it is going to be the most efficient.

Hilly terrain, high ambient temperatures, and frequent starts and stops also will make the temperature go up.

The great thing about transmission fluid is that it cannot be overcooled. If another cooler is needed you could certainly add it in line with the other supplemental cooler. The only issue you would run into is that you would need to let the truck warm up longer in the winter.
