Purpose of the Parts Included with the Pro Series Weight Distribution # PS49583
Question:
I seam to have a spare part I am hoping you can tell me what it is for. My pro series weight distribution with sway control has a small steel plate with a single hole in it? You can see the part in the part photo - what is it for? I dont see it referenced in any of the manuals.

Thank you for including the photo, it helped me quickly identify which part you were referring to. The part that you indicated in your photo is associated with the sway control portion of this weight distribution system. Since this system is a kit composed of both the sway control portion and the weight distribution portion it is an additional part. It is meant to be used with a sway control system without the use of the weight distribution head assembly this is included with this system.
This bracket is what would be used to mount the sway control ball to if you were using a standard ball mount. Since the weight distribution head assembly has both the towing ball and the sway control ball it is not needed. But if you wanted to use the sway control portion portion independent of the weight distribution head you could weld this bracket to a standard ball mount. I have included a photo that shows how this would install on a standard ball mount for your reference.
