Why Would Hydrastar Brake Actuator Not Work Consistenly
Question:
I have a hystastar system in my losdtrail trailer…trailer has worked fine for the past 6 months since purchased new but has recently been giving me grief The pump comes in when I push on the brakes and then ramps up by the sounds of it Brakes will apply with the brake control but it takes 7-8 seconds . Before they would apply within 2 seconds Fluid level is good and I can’t see any leaks in the lines All plug and play wiring has been changed from the 7 pin to the next plug in which is located in the toolbox…junction box has been bypassed to eliminate problems. Have you had anybody with this problem before or know what the issue could be???

What brake controller does your truck have? Typically the OEM integrated brake controllers in newer trucks can be a little problematic but the aftermarket ones like the P2 part # 90885 work consistently really well. It's pretty common to see the OEM controllers work for a while and then randomly decide to not work well and then sometimes start working again.
