Can Dexter DX EOH Actuator be Used with Time Delayed Brake Controller
Question:
Looking to purchase this brake actuator and do away with surge brakes with tandem axle disc brakes. But I have looked at other units like the Deutsche Hydrapro Alpha G1600 and it says it will not work with a time delay brake controller. It indicates it will fully engage the brakes at 100 pressure all the time no matter what. Is this accurate about that unit and is the Dexter power actuator the same way or can they work with a time delay brake controller correctly?

Expert Reply:
As long as the brake controller has a hydraulic setting that it can be put in the Dexter DX Series EOH part # K71-651 would work great regardless of being time-delayed or proportional. Most of the time-delayed controllers do not have this setting which is why typically we recommend one that does like the P2 part # 90885 which is proportional.
