Will etrailer Kayak Roof Rack and Thule SUP Shuttle SUP Carrier Both Fit on Crossbar

Question:

I have a 2020 jeep compass and need to transport either up to 2 kayaks at a time or one kayak and one sup at a time. I already have a saddle style carrier like TH811XT for the sup. I was wondering if a I could fit this plus one j-style carrier like e98878 or 2 j-style carriers at a time to accommodate either sup and kayak or 2 kayaks.

The etrailer Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs part # e98878 takes up around 15-1/2" of space on the crossbar depending on the angle of the upright. The Thule SUP Shuttle Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier with Tie-Downs part # TH811XT can take up anywhere from 23" - 35" depending on the width of your SUP. I can't say exactly for sure how much space you need to use both of the carriers together as there are too many variables but you should not have an issue with most racks, especially if there is any overhang with the crossbars since you can attach the j-style cradle outside the mounting foot if needed.

The etrailer Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs is not compatible with SUP's.
