Can the Trailer Be Backed Up when Using Pro Series Weight Distribution # PS49583
Question:
I have been told in order to backup with this wb sc hitch I would need to disconnect it. True or False are there any backing limitations.

You will want to disengage the sway control # 83660 for sure on the Pro Series weight distribution system, # PS49583, but not necessarily the spring bars when backing up.
The issue for spring bars or sway control is that if you have to back up at an angle instead of straight that can produce too much stress on the system and could damage the system or trailer.
If you are backing up in a straight line then you would not have to remove the bars. Taking the bars off is easy. You just use the lift bracket tool to remove tension from the bars, unhook the chains, rotate the bars out, and pull the clips holding the bars in the head. I have included a link to a video showing a typical isntallation of this system for you and a link to our help article on weight distribution.
