Troubleshooting Newly Installed Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Not Having Power In 2013 GMC Yukon
Question:
Good morning, I puchased a Tekonsha P2 Brake controller for a 2013 GMC Yukon with factory hitch and 7 pin harness. I installed the unit this weekend and the unit does not power on. I located the red hot wire taped to the heater hose and connected on the fuse panel stud. Is there something I am missing? Thanks

Sorry to hear about the issues!
The install is pretty straight forward so there's really only a few things to check.
First things first I'd check that the red wire on the vehicle is getting 12v using a circuit tester # PTW2993. I'm guessing either one of the butt connector connections is not secure so give it the good ol pull test, or that something wasn't hooked up right in the fuse box.
I went ahead and included an install video for you to double check that you did the install the same, and if you find a connector isn't loose or you do not have power on the red wire let me know.
