Where is the Location for Brake Controller Wiring on a 2012 Chevy Suburban
Question:
I can’t find the trailer brake control wires under the dash on my 2012 suburban. I found o Delphi 4 wire plug with a green cap on it with 4 green wires connected to it but the Chevy dealer said that probably isn’t for the brake controller. I’m at a loss right now. There is a fuse and junction box under the dash. Looks like it has possible plug in ports. It’s under a black plastic cover with a plastic push rivet holding the cover on. Please help.

According to the owner's manual for your 2012 Chevy Suburban (and our linked help article) you will have blunt cut wires located at the instrument panel near the data link connector. You'll be looking for the following colors which carry the following functions:
Dark Blue: Brake Signal to Trailer Connector
Red/Black: Battery
Light Blue/White: Brake Switch
White: Ground
If you don't already have a brake controller I recommend picking up the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 which comes with a labeled pigtail to make your connections. You may also need the Wiring Connector # 30955 if you don't have one at the back of your vehicle.
