The installation of the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit, item # 52181-1, on the Saturn Sc1 is fairly easy compared to some vehicles. I would allow a full afternoon for the installation and Roadmaster recommends at least 3-1/2 hours for installation time.
Some of the things that need to be done that may not be expected are, the front fascia, headlights and bumper core will have to be removed to gain access to the frame and bumper mounting area, before starting the installation. Also you will need to trim the sides of the lower air dam to fit around the tubular portion of the main braces.
With this base plate kit you will need a tow bar and safety cables and tow bar wiring for your vehicle.
If you are towing infrequently, you can use the RoadMaster Tracker Tow Bar, item # RM-020, and if you are going to be towing often you will like the convenience of the RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, item # RM-520, which allows you to quickly and easily connect and disconnect the tow bar from the vehicle.
For infrequent towing you can use a Magnetic Towing Light Kit, item # RM-2120, or for more frequent towing you can use the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, item # RM-154, or the RoadMaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs, item # RM-155, which requires enough room to install two bulbs in the vehicle taillights, but bypasses the towed vehicle wiring completely so there are no issues with cutting and splicing into the vehicles wiring.
Safety cables will also be needed and we have the RoadMaster 64 inch Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables, item # RM-645.
