What is the Inside Diameter of the Grommets Included with the Spectro Junction Box # 38656

Question:

Good Morning! I am interested in the inside diameter of the four grommits pictured. I have an input cable with an approximate outside diameter of .68 inches and an output cable with an approximate outside diameter of .835 inches. Thanks.

The grommets included with the Spectro Junction Box, # 38656, have an inner diameter of .603 inches. These grommets would definitely be too small for your larger output cable and would be a tight fit with your input cable. I checked our other junction boxes and they each use grommets with the same inside diameter.

These junction boxes were designed to work with coated 7-wire trailer wiring which has a diameter of .59 inches. You could possibly trim the grommets. They are .20 inches thick, so that would give you a little room to work.
